Li Anzhong

Active in the first half of the 12th century

Li Anzhong was a twelfth-century court painter. He lived through the transfer of the capital from Kaifeng to Hangzhou after the fall of the Northern Song. His surviving landscape belongs to the development of misty, water-rich scenery. The court's political relocation also changed the natural surroundings of its artists.
