Tintoretto

Tintoretto's professional name came from his father's dyeing trade. He spent almost his whole career in Venice, seeking to combine Titian's color with Michelangelo's vigorous forms. His large workshop undertook commissions for the Doge's Palace and the Scuola di San Rocco.
